We Are More Than Conquerors: Let's Act Like It!

Romans 8:37

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.

Though it is not God’s will, many today are walking around beat down, sick and afflicted. The devil digs a pit; they fall in and just lie there, not even trying to get out. We all have seen people like this. I guess if we all, truly, would be honest, most of us have been in a pit at some point in our Christian walk. You, yourself, may even be in a pit right now. Good news! You don’t have to stay there. The Word tells us that we are more than conquerors through Christ, and I think it’s time we started acting like it. Let’s use the power God has given us.

We Have Power Over All the Power of the Enemy

It is a fact, we have power. When Jesus was training His disciples, He gave them power over all unclean spirits and diseases.

Matthew 10:1

And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease."

Do I believe that God will give us this power? Actually, He already has!

Acts 8:1

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you…

Those of us who have received the Holy Ghost have power over the devil and his cohorts.

Luke 10:19

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

The above verse makes it very clear that God has given us power over all the power of the enemy. Who is the enemy? satan. Yes, he has power but the good news is we have power over him.

The devil only has power over those who allow him to lord himself over them. If you resist the devil he will flee. If you have resisted and he hasn’t fled, it’s because you haven’t submitted yourself to God. You must first submit yourself to God before the devil will leave.

James 4:7

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

How do you submit yourself to God? One way is by reading and obeying His Word. Another way is by praising Him. When we praise God, it creates an atmosphere in which the devil does not want to dwell.

It’s a spiritual fact that—

Raising our hands and worshipping God will run the devil off!

The Prayer of Prevention

Mark 14:38
Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.

A few minutes in prayer, every day, can prevent years of anguish and suffering. If we live a holy and dedicated life we can stop tragedy before it strikes. Jesus told us to watch and pray. Although we can’t prevent everyone from getting sick or dying, we can make a dent in the devil’s plans for us. We can watch out for sickness and disease, and other problems and temptations, and head them off before they reach our door.

It’s a Spiritual Fact That—

—The Holy Ghost is our Lookout. He looks out for us and will warn us if trouble is headed our way, or if we, ourselves, are walking into a trap. He will guide us into all truth. (See John 16:13)

Prayer Guidelines:

    • Pray (Pray for what you want to come to pass, and what you don’t want to come to pass won’t).
    • Claim the Blood of Jesus over yourself and your loved ones every day. (The Blood of Jesus both protects and delivers us. It is the very powerful foundation on which the entire Gospel is built.)
    • Claim the 91st Psalm (This chapter covers just about everything you’ll ever need).
    • Quote other scriptures in the Word. Believe for and receive His promises.

Call to Action:

Abundant life is a reality not a myth. Receive it by faith.

The God of Healing:

Are You Tired of Sickness Abounding in Your Community?

It is not God’s will that any be sick. Yet, there has been so much sickness in the area where I live that it is really beginning to get to me. It breaks my heart that people are dying at such a young age. I heard someone say that it was just their time to die, as if God had something to do with it. Well, I don’t believe that for a second. I think the devil was behind it. After all, he is the one that comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Jesus is the One who came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. (See John 10:10)

Why does God get the blame for all the evil the devil is doing? I don’t know, but I do know that it is high time that we got off of our couches and on our way to doing something for God. First, we need to let people know that God is a good God. Then, we need to execute His plan for healing the sick.

It’s a Spiritual Fact That—
—The more people we get healed, the more we will get saved. When people find out God does care for them, they will want to know Him.

God’s Plan for Healing

Deactivate the Devil’s Plans by Activating God’s Plan

The devil may have a plan to make people sick, but God has a plan to keep them well. His Word provides the answer to sickness and disease. One way we can activate God’s plan for healing is to call for the elders of church to pray. Who is an elder? An elder is a mature Christian.

The Prayer of Faith

James 5:14 –15

Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

If someone truly receives the prayer of faith they will get well. That is God’s Word, and it will work. And, since He didn’t take it back, it is for us today! So, why are so many people still suffering and dying with sickness and disease? It is because the prayer of faith hasn’t truly been executed.

Is There Power in the Prayer Lines?

The prayer of faith not only gets the person well that is being prayed for, but they are also forgiven of any sins they may have committed. Therefore, it is imperative that those who are doing the praying be holy. I feel this is one of the most common reasons the prayer of faith isn’t being executed. It’s not that God hasn’t given us power; it’s that the power lines have been downed by sin. If we want people to receive their healing, and we all do, let’s keep power in the prayer lines by living a pleasing life before God. None of us are perfect. But, one thing we can do,  we can strive to do better. First purity; then power.

It’s a Spiritual Fact That—
—If you’re going to have victory in the prayer line there must be power in the power lines (the people through whom the power flows)

Something to Remember:

Don’t allow anyone to lay hands on you unless you know they are living a truly dedicated life. If you are about to receive prayer and you feel a certain hesitation in your spirit that you shouldn’t, then don’t. Go and seek prayer elsewhere.

You’re a Conqueror: Rebuke That Storm

Matthew 8:24

And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm.

God did not send the storm indicated in the verse above. If this had been the case, Jesus would not have rebuked it. Many people believe that God sends catastrophes, such as hurricanes and tornadoes, to weed out the wicked. Many go as far as to say that God sends spiritual storms (trials and problems) to train and chastise His children. But this scripture makes it clear that God does not do that.

It’s a Spiritual Fact That—

—God doesn’t send storms, weather-wise or otherwise.

Have you found yourself in a storm? Maybe you have fallen into one of satan’s pits. It doesn’t matter if you are trapped in a pit or if you have found yourself in a spiritual storm, you want to be free, don’t you? Well, stand up and rebuke that sickness out of your body. Command the devil to loose his hold on you and your loved ones. Stand up and tell satan, "Enough of this foolishness, I am more than a conqueror through Christ. So I’m not only going to start looking and sounding like a conqueror, I am going to start acting like one!"
